1098 and 1188R new superbike models for 2007 from Ducati
After stopping this year the production of the famous 998 model Ducati developed a new model in 2007 designed for Superbike racing with an engine of 1098cc and named the model simply using their engine capacity.
The liquid cooled engine is a new comer in Ducati family with a great performance. Rumors are saying this model was developed to offer an improved bike replacing 999R over the 999 and 999S.
Also Ducati prepares even bigger engine for a model named 1188R because Superbike regulations seems to permit V twins with bigger engines.
Both models 1098 and 1198R are using single side swingarm and looks they came back to this option from 998 after using 2 sides swingarm on 999 models.
